That feeling when you're taller than someone By: Stanley

The feeling when you’re taller than someone.

I’m a short guy, so I always look up and it makes my neck hurt. This usually happens around 24 hours a day and maybe about 365 days a year, and so for the past 14 years of my life, my neck has been constantly been driven up the wall to the point where the wall, or my neck, isn’t even there anymore.

But sometimes there’s a time, when I meet a youngling, a youngling that is shorter than me. You see here, I don’t usually look down because I can’t. I always crane my neck up. But the feeling when you give your neck a break for once and look down on people, AHHH that makes me feel so powerful. Like I could probably hike Mt. Everest, or win the Olympics. It’s almost like going to the movie theater and sitting in the front seat. Man, those seats will make you permanently look like a seal for two hours. But when the movie is over, the soreness goes away and your neck flies straight to heaven, leaving you headless.

Just looking at the clueless face on the little kid also makes me feel unstoppable. He doesn’t even know what’s going on and I’m just here in my mind, “Hahaha! I’m taller than you!”, and he’s just oblivious to what I’m thinking.

The feeling of being above someone is what we call here…

AWESOME!

  3. I love how you emphasized what it felt like to be taller than someone, by exclaiming you could climb Mt Everest.
