Being slapped in the face by cold air after sweating outside
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You know when you are outside and the sun is shining bright on a very dull day?
Maybe a little too bright where it can make you forget what you were doing out there.
Either:
Your mom pushed you to walk the 4 legged animal who has the devil horns of excitement and those large pupils which can’t be denied at any cost. Maybe your mom put you up to that task because she is a mom or your dog was a little too tired. (Let me just say, the second possibility is impossible because dogs are as hyper as two-year olds who came back from trick or treating with 2 pounds of candy and decided to eat them on the same day.)
You just felt like going outside because you are an independent individual who is allowed to make a decision all by yourself. You know the rest because I don’t want to bore you by saying all of the preachy ideas that you have heard a thousand times.
Lost in thought, you are still consciously walking through the dry grass with a million beads of sweat wiggling down your forehead into your eye or completely missing the target and going straight into your mouth. Yum!
You are surrounded by those humid waves of air. You are surrounded by the rays of the sun. You are surrounded by tons of dust. You are surrounded by tons of sweat. Now, that prompts you to go back to your safety base. Your home.
Hoping that someone is greeting you at the front door, you open it but there is no one there. However, you are left with satisfaction. How? Well, the cold air swarms around you, relaxing your brain, calming down your blood and bringing you back into the dream.
Awesome!
This brings back memories of me in soccer in the summer where it's like 1000 degrees kelvin and then entering my house.
ReplyDeleteThis is so well put together and flows so well! I low key just experienced this when we walked in from walking the track.
